More Than a Space - A Community

What is The Spaut?
The Spaut (pronounced “The Spot”) is a unique social recreation center designed for adults with mild intellectual disabilities, particularly those receiving Independent Living Services (ILS). It offers a relaxed, inclusive environment where members can connect with others, build friendships, and enjoy social activities that feel comfortable, meaningful, and fun.
Our space is ideal for individuals who live independently and don’t require ongoing structured support but still benefit from having a safe, welcoming community to engage in everyday activities. Whether you're into video games, painting and crafts, reading, or just relaxing in a familiar space, The Spaut provides the setting to do all of that—on your own terms.
We also warmly welcome neurotypical adults who value and respect the neurodiverse community, creating a space where everyone can enjoy shared experiences and mutual understanding.

Our Spaut
At The Spaut, we’ve created an environment that feels like yours—comfortable, fun, and designed with social connection in mind. Every corner of our center is intentionally designed to support independent adults with mild intellectual disabilities, offering the freedom to participate, explore, and unwind in a welcoming, non-clinical setting.
